PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Edwin Chavez, is a Senior Executive Advisor to RKA’s LATAM region. In addition, Edwin advises RKA’s President and CEO as well as the firm’s senior management team on corporate, leadership and operational issues.
He has over 30 years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas, electricity, mining, industrial, healthcare, and mobility sectors.
From 2006 to 2020, he served as President and CEO of one of the world’s largest companies, of Siemens AG subsidiaries in Ecuador, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia. He was also a Vice President and Board Member of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Chile, Peru, and Ecuador; Director of the German-Chilean Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Director and First Vice President of the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Director and Second Vice President of the German-Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and co-founder of Svetlanross Consulting Cia Ltda where he is the former CEO and Board member.
Edwin also teaches, and served as Professor at the USFQ Business School as well as a visiting professor, lecturer; member of the Advisory Board of the USFQ Business School; and Member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) in Lima, Peru.
He has authored more than 30 opinion pieces published in renowned Chilean newspapers, such as “Estrategia” and the “Día 1”, supplement of the Lima-based newspaper El Comercio.
His outstanding national and international management work has led him to be featured on the cover of Líderes magazine of El Comercio in Quito on two occasions, in March 2008 and 2013.
