PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Prof. Edwin Chavez, is a Senior Executive Advisor to RKA’s LATAM region. In addition, Edwin advises RKA’s President and CEO directly, as well as the firm’s senior management team, on corporate, leadership and operational global delivery issues, given his extensive C-level prior experience at the local regional helm of one of the largest employers and companies in the world, Siemens AG. A polyglot, he is fluent in several languages including Spanish and Russian.

He has over 35 years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas, electricity, mining, industrial, healthcare, and mobility sectors.

From 2006 to 2020, he served as President and CEO of Siemens AG subsidiaries in Ecuador, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia. He was also a Vice President and Board Member of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Chile, Peru, and Ecuador; Director of the German-Chilean Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Director and First Vice President of the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Director and Second Vice President of the German-Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In addition, Edwin is a long time lecturer, of all levels of university and college courses, undergraduate and graduate. For example, he served as Professor at the USFQ Business School as well as a visiting professor, lecturer; member of the Advisory Board of the USFQ Business School; and Member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) in Lima, Peru.

Given his combined executive practical application, as a large Fortune-level type company CEO, technically as a front-lines engineer, as a manager of large complex, transnational projects, and Professor of practice, he joins RKA’s crew of expert witness Professor-level testyfying experts in our Litigation Support and Expert Services global team.

As part of his CEO responsibilities, at the local level, Edwin had oversight of supporting the global investigations and compliance processes while undergoing and then making internal sanctions and disciplining decisions for his region and therefore very familiar with investigation and compliance triage, evaluation, reporting and disposition reviews, policy creation and enhancement, as well as related Human Resources issues, sometimes involving legal matters on behalf of and against the companies under his command.

He has authored more than 30 opinion expert pieces published in renowned Chilean newspapers, such as “Estrategia” and the “Día 1”, supplement of the Lima-based newspaper El Comercio.

His outstanding national and international management work has led him to be featured on the cover of Líderes magazine of El Comercio in Quito on two occasions, in March 2008 and 2013.
